I'm writing to let you know how Purple Emu oil has helped me. Three years ago, I closed a file cabinet drawer on my thumb nail and damaged the nail bed. The nail turned purple and I expected to lose it. I also expected that a new, normal thumb nail would grow back. Instead, misshapen, chalky clumps of nail grew in which would flake and tear off before it grew to the midpoint of the nail.

Needless to say, it was very unattractive and tender, and I could no longer use that thumb normally. The skin surrounding the nail and on the entire thumb was cracked and sore. I showed it to a dermatologist who suggested that I keep it lubricated with AquaFor, but could offer me no hope that the nail would ever grow back again.

On a trip to the health food store, I happened to see Purple Emu oil and bought some, thinking it might improve the cracked skin around the damaged thumb nail. After a couple of days, the skin was much improved and I started applying it to the nail, too. After three weeks, I noticed that not only did the nail feel better, it was grown out farther than I had seen it since the accident. Now the nail is nearly grown out and while it is still bumpy, it seems strong. I can press on objects with my thumb pad without causing pain to the nail area. Thanks for a great product!
