Here is what I think that emu oil has helped with me. The nerve casings that go down the arms and legs were shortened on me due to the inflammation of MS. Emu oil is a very good source of essential fatty acids, and fatty acids called myelin are what coat those nerves. Having a diet high in fatty acids has long been known to lessen symptoms of MS because the fatty acids are usually low on a MS person. What MS does is attack the myelin (fat lining of the nerve). My opinion is that if there is more fatty acid available in the diet, it can either replace the inflamed places and soothe that nerve, or it can provide fatty acids besides the myelin for the MS to chew on for a while!
Well, so much for my limited wisdom.
